The Songwriter team touched down in Berlin for the world premiere of the film in the final week of February. The Berlinale festival hosted a special gala screening and red carpet reception for the film in the beautiful  Friedrichstadt-Palast. The atmosphere around the 1,500 capacity theatre was buzzing.

The evening started with a press conference which is a good insight into the story of the films production.

After the press conference it was off to the red carpet where Murray and Ed met with fans and chatted all things ‘Songwriter’ with the press. The main event began with an onstage introduction by Murray & Ed to a sold out crowd before curtains were raised and we were finally able to share our film with you!

We were so happy with the reception the film was getting during and after screening. The team were brought onstage after the film to a flattering applause and were clearly moved after all this work, to finally share our film.

After that, it was time to pop the bubbly and enjoy our time in Berlin!

The film stayed at the festival for a further 2 days with screenings in venues across the city. One of which featured an introduction and Q&A with Murray. The questions from the crowd were great and Murray was able to share some interesting anecdotes.
